Currently seeking a Master Planner that will be responsible for product availability to meet required service levels against optimal costs and working capital (inventory), translating and interpreting the outcome of the S&OP of the assigned Value team(s) into an optimal production plan. This role requires pro-actively identifying (potential) issues, communicating them and solving them in cooperation with all parties involved (manufacturing, customer service, demand planning), keeping the optimal balance between cost and service levels.
Major responsibilities include:
  • Act as voice of customer to manufacturing base
  • Analyze weekly planning results from APO-SNP and confirm appropriate order packages to manufacturing, balancing against known manufacturing constraints and the agreed monthly S&OP production plans.
  • Communicate cross functionality on plant status, customer issues and inhibiting execution of master production schedule
  • Manage product line inventory levels to meet monthly operations plan, balance sku level DIOH (inventory mix) to ensure desired resource levels are maintained. Prevent Inflow of aged finished goods in partnership with Demand Planners, Product Planners, and Fulfillment Analyst
  • Coordinate and lead planning for annual plant outages to ensure quantity of supply to customers. This includes cross functional communication between manufacturing and supply planning to ensure the correct master data elements are in place for APO-SNP planning.
  • Manage Made to Inventory (MTI) replenishment, and control inventory to meet quarterly DOH targets.
  • Work closely with MPS planners and manufacturing to ensure the sequencing of orders achieves the proper service levels.
Key Metrics will include product line service to the customers, product line to the working capital, product line to the cost, etc.
Education/Experience Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 3 years in scheduling or production planning, demand planning, in manufacturing environment and/or manufacturing/engineering experience
  • Demonstrated ability to use analytical tools to solve business problems
  • Proven ability to work with, and communicate to, all levels of the business (manufacturing, customer service)
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office programs
  • Proven expertise in SAP planning
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize and execute to deadlines
  • Experience in APO-SNP a plus
  • Manufacturing experience
