Currently seeking an Onboarding Specialist to help an environmental services company during the turnaround season coming up.
This individual will work under indirect supervision, perform a wide variety of clerical, administrative support activities for assigned Human Resources - Onboarding functional department in accordance with company policies, practices and procedures.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates offer letters using an applicant tracking system as requested by branches in accordance with established policies and procedures, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Responsible for keeping a timely, accurate and efficient new hire process for incoming candidates.
Audits employee records/reports for accuracy and completion
Informs and communicates with internal clients and candidates of onboarding progress regarding, pending tasks, background status, drug screen status and progress.
Monitors the onboarding progress of new hires and acts as the main contact for all issues related to the onboarding process
Responding to all internal and external inquiries regarding status checks.
Administers and reviews background checks per company policy
Administers and reviews drug screens per company policy
Responsible for I-9 and E-Verify compliance
Keeps compliance with I9, Human Resources policies, and.Federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
Provides onboarding assistance to candidates and internal clients
Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and assisting in projects
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent
DEMONSTRATED KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Attention to detail
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working familiarity with MS applications including Excel and Word
