Currently seeking an Operations Engineer for a privately backed industrial company.

The Operations Engineer plans, directs and coordinates all business and operations activities for the plant. Responsibilities include ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of the operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. The Operations Engineer role is to gather and analyze daily production data  and to understand how to respond to the data to efficiently maximize operating profits.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide a clear communication conduit between Engineering/Asset Integrity and Operations personnel to ensure appropriate Subject Matter Expert (SME) engagement in both directions
  • Provide engineering technical support as necessary to all field operation activities
  • Provide engineering review and recommendation, design and construction oversight and Operations input
  • Provide project management, engineering input, and delivery of small modification projects
  • Support inspection, testing, monitoring and maintenance of station facilities
  • With Operations personnel, identify resources and develop budgets necessary to ensure that operational needs/improvements and integrity threats are prioritized and appropriately addressed
  • Ensure the consistent and systematic implementation of standards, processes and procedures
  • Execute and report on integrity assessments, field verifications and subsequent repairs
  • With Operations personnel perform risk assessments to identify credible threats and barrier effectiveness
  • Support the collection and integration of data vital to regulatory compliance
  • Working with appropriate SME' s assimilate and analyze data from inspection, testing and monitoring activities, including defect assessment, and provide recommendations for remediation as necessary.
  • Participate in the development, review and continual improvement of Facility and Processes and Procedures
Essential Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate' s or bachelor' s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relative work experience and related facilities
  • Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) systems, inspections and regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of industry codes and standards (ASME, API, NACE, etc.)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent computer skills, proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to present self in a professional manner through interaction and communication
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Valid driver' s license, good driving record and ability to operate a vehicle
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management experience
  • Excellent technical writing/review skills
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Associate' s or bachelor' s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Two or more years of experience working in an operations position for an industrial industry.
